Across its three member institutions – University of North Texas, UNT Health Science Center, UNT Dallas – the UNT System’s combined student body is 57% minority.
UNT (53% Minority) and UNT Dallas (85% Minority) are designated as Minority Serving/Hispanic Serving Institutions by the U.S. Department of Education.
For three straight years, UNT has received the Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award from “INSIGHT Into Diversity” magazine.
This national recognition is given to U.S. colleges and universities that demonstrate
an outstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion.
UNT Dallas is arguably the most diverse university in Dallas-Fort Worth.
